In the unifying spirit of the Beijing Olympics, Nike wanted to create a historic event that would bring the entire world together. The Nike+ Human Race was the largest one-day running event in history on August 31, 2008. Runners around the globe came together, both physically and virtually, to challenge each other and raise thousands of dollars for charity. In the end, we brought 800,000 runners from 142 countries together to compete for the first time ever.
